Two of the most important elements that constitute a website or a blog, are articles and posts.
Most people avoid writing, unless it is their job to write.
Even most educated people I know try not to write. It is not a problem if you don’t like to learn; however, if you have a website or a blog, you either have to:
Write yourself or outsource to others to write for you and pay them charges from $5 to 100’s of dollars.
I was scared to write and hesitant to start; I never liked it and I could barely pass my English classes in school and in the college years.
My friends, writing for the web can be learned and improved when you start practicing, reading, and having feedback from others to approve or disapprove your articles.
With time and effort and reusing a plan for writing, anyone can write dissent articles?
Writing can help you in many aspects of life; for now, I’ll focus on writing for the web.
Let me ask you a question; why do people get online and what do they search for?
Anyone can answer this question; you and I search for info, news, how to articles, or solution to problems and more..
What is common among all the above?
All of them are made up of articles, posts, and some graphics. No one gets online for the reasons of finding an advertisement or filling out forms.
Although the web advanced, the technology is changing all the time, and the social media share lots of videos, photos, podcasts, and more. However, people are always searching for text to read. Graphics enhance the message, but can’t convey it without the words.
How did I learn how to write an article and what plan I use for writing?
Below are the10 steps to create your own articles:
Step 1-Decide on the idea you want to write about and find 20-30 keywords related to the subject you selected.
Step 2-Write four to six sentences containing the keywords found in step 1. Make sure, you write one sentence on each line. Try not to reuse the same keywords.
Step 3-Read the lines you wrote in step 2 and create a title for the article, then write it at the top of the page. Now you have four to six lines called subheadings for your articles. Also, you have the title of the article.
Step 4-Go to each line that has the subheadings and mark three dashes (-), each on a separate line.
At this point, you end up with a title for the article, 4-6 subheadings with each having three dashes (-) underneath it.
Step 5-Go to the first subheading and think about three specific ideas to write about. Write one phrase to represent each idea under the subheadings. Do the same for all the subheadings.
Step 6-Now you have the title, 4-6 subheadings, and 2-3 phrases under every subheadings.
Step 7-Revist every idea under the subheading and add to it three to four sentences.
Step 8-Write an opening paragraph of three to four sentences that explains what is coming up in the article body. (This will be easy, because you already know the ideas you will be writing about).
Step 9-Write the ending paragraph of three to five sentences summarizing your articles to remind the reader what they read. (This will be easy too, because you already have a lot of info in the article. You just need to pick the main ideas and create the ending).
Step 10-At this step, you will have your first draft of your article. This will be your framework to improve it; this will be very easy. Every time you read it, and idea comes to your mind. Add a word, a phrase, change, or edit. Keep reading and editing for grammatical mistakes, and for semantic error until you are satisfied with the final copy.
That is it; you may find this plan long. However, it is easy to follow and becomes a breeze once you start doing it over and over.
I just want to mention to you, this is not the only way to write. You can have to your own plans, but I find this is easy to follow and I am used to it.
